I've launched there a ton, they have it down pretty well. Staff are very helpful (yes maybe because they are hunting tips lol), and the location couldn't be better.

Having come from 2 other marinas, this is what a Marina should be like. The people working are always in a good mood and helpful. My service needs are met quickly and precisely. The invoice makes sense too! Great place to have your boat!

Windmill Marina is a small member owned marina that operates a boat ramp that is open to the public. Boats up to 24' are $16 weekdays and $24 on weekends and holidays. It is actually more of a parking fee since multiple days on the water require additional daily fees. There is no public beach within the marina and there is absolutely no public fishing.
Been launching there for several years and on weekends there are usually 8 or more folks on duty, whose job is to assist you with launching and provide a golf cart shuttle. Customer service is great. They also operate a fuel dock and store with ice and bait. It can get really busy on weekends but the kids keep the line moving faster than you would expect. When there is no more parking they do turn folks away.
As stated by others they take powerloading and the no wake zone very seriously since the marina owners are the folks mooring boats in the marina. I asked a young employee what exactly "powerloading" means. She explained that any propeller discharge while loading is powerloading. She professionally explained why it is bad and suggested that I look at the DNR website for info on the Catfish No Wake Zone and why powerloading is bad. Finally she pointed at the "no power loading" sign that was, quite frankly, impossible to miss.
In summary; great spot to launch but be careful not to break the rules or you might be asked to leave.

They have great customer service and do a great job directing traffic for launching and loading boats.
If you need a hand launching or loading your boat, they are the place to go because they will watch your boat for you. You are still responsible for loading and launching.

Expensive compared to other launches, but you can't beat the service and worry free launching. Plus overnight is is available which isn't at all launches in the area. Recommend for everyone who wants a better experience over saving a few bucks. Oh, and I've never not been able to park here. That can't be said about the others in the area.
