Jan. 23, 2025 While the service was better and the food was good, this time the plate was smaller, only one crab cake instead of two, less green beans and mashed potatoes, the bread was smaller, had to ask for coffee (it was not offered) and my friend who always orders white wine was charged $2 more for the wine as she was in November. Nov. 21, 2024.... This time we were not offered more water, nor coffee or tea at the end of the meal. Both I and my seat mate ordered wine. We were both charged $2 more than the price of the wine as shown on the menu. If you are going to charge a 20% fee then please keep up with beverages for your guests, as well as having enough servers to keep up with our group without delays. As the spouse of a Torch club member my experiences are that the prices have gone up quite a bit, the service is slower which means our meetings are often delayed and if coffee is part of the meal (as it says) it is not offered. At the last meeting the butter was not put out until after we got our entrees and had eaten our bread. The food is excellent (even though we get green beans and potatoes a lot) as well as the view. I appreciate the new handicap entrance you installed. Other members do as well.

Terrible “management”. It’s called “The Redneck Yacht Club” for a reason. The place is riddled with unsanitary and unsafe conditions. They don’t mind spending tens of thousands of dollars on their pickle ball courts while simultaneously disregarding the property and letting it rot. Just have a drive around the property and you’ll see it’s a boat graveyard as much as it is a boat dock. the main building is disguising and FULL of mold. Take your money elsewhere, between the horrible “management” and the nasty rude secretary, along with the conditions of the property and crooked people running the place, you can get a lot more for your money at other places.

Yacht & Country Club with a dining room, different room for special events and weddings. Pub , and pool. Private boat ramp and great access to the James River , Members Only!

This establishment doesn’t care for ethnic groups. You will pay top dollar for minimum accommodations. Beautiful location but not worth the headache.

I have been here a couple of times. It’s really nice area for fun, business, and family/friends. The dining area is nice. The only thing I don’t like is that your server literally does everything. They serve, make certain food items, and make the drinks. I waited over 30 minutes just to get a mixed drink. I only had the one. The area is extremely clean and the staff is nice. The pool area is nice as well. Nice and clean with plenty of room.
