Great launch site with free parking, but like everywhere else in Seattle it's overrun with people living in their RVs.

Two lane boat launch. No restrooms. Limited parking. Nice dock.

Next to the Seattle Maritime Academy, a nice, little niche for catching some photographs of boats, water, and even reflective lights right after sundown.

It's a rare gem in Seattle- access to one of our city's best features that is free for boaters! That said, being free does mean that it doesn't as much care and attention as the pay ramps. The cement is cracking on the ramp (getting dangerous for long trailers on the west ramp), the docks are heavily worn, whatever used to be on the east edge of the east ramp is now a crumbling concrete step into the water, and the blackberry bushes don't help. BUT it is free, the trailer parking is nice even if a tad short (my Toyota+23ft trailer barely fit), and it's just right there in Ballard!

One of several public access points to the Ballard waterfront amidst floating homes and fishing boats. There are two docks you can walk out on when they are not being utilized for launching boats.
