Great Marina. Great owner. My Dad wasn’t able to get our port engine started. Jim personally came down on a Saturday on his day off to trouble shoot and fix it. He saved the family outing and lowered my Father’s BP! THANK YOU!

I generally don’t write reviews; however, I fee like I need to express my experience with Townsends’s Marina in Forked River. As a new boat owner, I decided to slip my boat at Townsend’s Marina. I could not have been happier with that decision. The owner, Jim, offered to go over my boats systems/controls to teach me proper operation. Their lead mechanic, Nick, is extremely knowable and has been extremely helpful. Helping me through some minor snafus. Kenny, Jack, and Butch round out this most impressive staff. My 1st time taking out my new boat, Nick & Kenny, waited over an hour, after quitting time, to help me dock my boat. I had difficulty navigating the Barnegat Inlet. Jack offer to take me out, after hours, to show me how to properly navigate the inlet. The marina offers a ship store, has clean bathrooms/shower, and No Green Heads! My slip neighbors are all extremely friendly and welcoming. This truly is a family atmosphere! If you are in need of a new marina, do yourself a favor, and check out Townsend’s Marina in Forked River. Tell them John sent you.

As a new boat owner a few years ago, I was very particular about who would work on my boat and handle winterizing, maintenance, tune-ups, etc. I contacted every marina in the Forked River area, and was most impressed by Jim's response to my questions. He took his time to explain the process of winterizing my particular engine and outdrive, and answered my questions about pricing and other services as well. I let no one but Jim or his mechanics touch my boat, and have called them with questions or problems that were solved very quickly and to my satisfaction. Townsend's sets a very high bar for responsiveness and service quality at reasonable prices. Pleased to have a high quality full service marina in our town!
