Was hesitant to purchase a boat for years due to knowing I don’t have the time to wrench on it myself when the time came for something "major". Given the industry standard it sounded like an absolute nightmare trying to find a trustworthy facility that does good work and doesn’t take advantage of people. Had an oil leak that was difficult to get to and wanted to give it an “official” once over to check the bellows, seals and tune the carb. Called Total Marine and Jim was a great to speak with and had a great feeling going with them. Worked with Dylan the rest of the time and he really took the time to give me a complete rundown of my boat and the history of the powertrain. All said and done the work they did was absolutely amazing, and I wouldn’t even of considered doing it myself for the price they quoted. Extremely happy they restored my faith in industry and the boat is running perfect with no leaks or worries now. Highly recommend to anyone I speak with that owns a boat, well worth the drive to take it to people that really care about there customers. Thank you Dylan, Jim and crew, appreciate you help!

My day off and my husband and I headed for Saginaw Bay to get some walleye. Put the boat in the water and it wouldn't shift. What a disappointment to say the least. We pulled it out and headed right for Total Marine to see Jim, the owner. Now mind you this was on a Saturday, they open at 9:00. Jim heard our concerns and got his best 3 mechanics on it while we waited. They worked on it for about 3 hours and fixed the problem and even water tested it to make sure. We have been dealing with them for years and we would not go to anyone else. A huge THANKYOU to all of them who got us back on the water. They definitely take care of their customers 👍🏼

Dropped off my older pontoon with 75hp merc OB. Loss of power, no top end. Now runs amazing again. They went through everything to make sure all components we functioning properly. Very fair cost for parts and labor - I will not go anywhere else. They serviced very quick, staff was amazing, felt like family. Highly recommended. Fantastic experience!

The afternoon before a planned 500 mile driving trip into the wilds of Quebec, I had the boat and trailer out for a test tow. I didn’t like the squeak I was hearing and just so happened to be driving by Total Marine so thought I would stop in and see what they thought. The owner said he understood the predicament I was in and would do all he could to help me out. We agreed to have the inner and outer bearings replaced on the two trailer wheels. It was 3 pm so I couldn’t believe it when he told me to back the boat and trailer into their one open bay and that he would have the bearings replaced when they opened in the morning. I’m sure this extremely quick turnaround won’t always be the case but the fact that he helped me out this much will result in him not only getting much of my future business but I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing boat and/or trailer repairs. When I picked up the boat and trailer the next morning the mechanic that did the repairs shared with me how one bearing set was damaged and that the wheel would barely free spin because the wheel retaining nut was over tightened. The last time anyone touched that nut was the year before when Chapman’s (to the west of Lapeer) replaced the axle inner seal on the same wheel that would barely spin! We completed the trip which included 40 miles over rough logging roads as well as expressway and highway driving for a total of 1250 miles. At times I would feel the hubs and they were literally cool to the touch meaning the bearings were installed perfectly. Unbelievably customer service and top notch work! Thank you my new friends!!!
