What a fabulous find! Jeff at Tight Coat knew exactly the proper procedure, and had the right power tools on the spot to get it done! I needed some 3Form shelves cut for my home studio, that are made of optical grade engineered resin. Being an expensive product, one wants a professional to complete the task. And that he did! Jeff communicates well, understands his field of expertise, and has a creative mind to figure out how to execute the project at hand. Jeff at Tight Coat LLC came highly recommended by several sources. I heard so many great accolades that i decided to reach out to discuss some hull and stringer issues i had with my 1985 Chris Craft Center Console. I purchased this boat many years ago because it was so unique. It was in decent shape but needed some minor restoration. Needless to say, Jeff went above and beyond this week. First of all, several vendors told me that it was beyond repair and that I should sell it for what i can. Of course all of them were simply trying to get me to sell them the boat for a super low price especially with the brand new motor. Jeff, on the other hand, took a look at the boat and gave me a realistic assessment for what it needed. He came back with a fair price and was willing to drive over an hour south every day for 3-4 days to do the work. Based on his reputation i decided to move forward. The boat is now complete and is beyond expectation. In addition to reinforcing my stringers and core material, without damaging my new Plasteak floor, he took care of numerous other issues proactively for no additional charge. He also buffed, polished, and detailed the boat upon completion for much less than the competition but with 200% better results. The boat now rides beautiful and is extremely stable and rigid. It has never felt better. And the hull looks gorgeous all the way down to the keel. He matched the Chris Craft cream white color which gives it that showroom look again after 37 years. Photos attached. In summary, Jeff treated the boat like it was his own which is evident from the pride he took in his work. He genuinely cared about the boat and my satisfaction. This is a rare trait in any industry especially right now. Business owners and their staff should take a lesson from Jeff. The way he operates is exactly what separates a good business from a great business.
