I recently purchased a 1998 pontoon boat and, as a newcomer to boating and to the Cheboygan/Indian River area, I was eager to get on the water. However, my first outing a few weeks ago was disappointing, as the boat had very little power and was running rough. I tried to troubleshoot the problem myself, replacing the spark plugs and checking the spark, but the engine continued to sound rough, with what seemed like a popping noise. Feeling disheartened and not knowing many locals, I turned to the only person I knew in the area, Mitch the tree guy (who, by the way, is an excellent tree guy), and he recommended "The Boat Doctor." I brought my boat to your team, and although you were busy and couldn't look at it for five days, you still took it in immediately. When I received the call five days later, I braced myself for the dreaded news of an expensive repair. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to hear your expert opinion: there was nothing wrong with the engine! In a world where it seems everyone is looking for a tip or a way to upsell, your honesty was both refreshing and unexpected. While I was a bit embarrassed, your team’s professionalism, expertise, and caring attitude quickly put me at ease. I even asked you to check a few other things and upgrade the GPS, which you completed by the next day. Your business embodies everything a customer hopes for: honesty, professionalism, expertise, and a genuine concern for the customer’s experience. You kept me informed throughout the process, patiently educated me on boating basics, and even gave me a small lightbulb for free. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Took my wakesetter there to have the engine replaced. Three engines later I had to have the vinyl on the seats and engine cover replaced, huge scratch down the side of the boat. He didn't hook up the perfect pass right so the boat would go full throttle at start up. Almost lost my wife and daughter off the back of the boat. Haven't really been able to use my boat since he touched it. He wouldn't show me any paperwork proving that he actually fixed anything. Not looking forward to a fourth engine. HORRIBLE BUSINESS OWNER.

Amazing service! Was on vacation when our boat died called them up and they were able to have us back on the water in 24 hrs ! Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Thank you guys for the great service,! you saved our vacation .

We were on vacation in July of 2019 and had an issue with our 2010 Formula 240 BR. The Boat Doctor got us in and fixed our boat in one day allowing us to get it back into the water quickly for the rest of our vacation. Great, friendly service. Highly recommend them!

Excellent customer service. Mike was super helpful and a person that was very knowledgeable and kind. If you need to order anything from them it doesn't take very long to get it from the company. Excellent phone manners too!!! Very pleasant to work with.
