The 101 Landing

Great marina with awesome owners! We were only able to stay one night but will be back. They have a lot of cool boats and let us tour them. They are very knowledgeable about the river and gave us some great tips. Really appreciated the hospitality!

Stopped in for a Transient slip as part of our 1683 mile journey on our boat. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We got to tour a few of their boats including a Stern wheeler. Super awesome tour and one of the best stops on our voyage. We will definitely be back

Jake and Will went above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute and highly important charter to memorialize my parents today. They made sure I was comfortable and well cared for during the trip. I can't recommend their services highly enough. They care about their clientele and provide first-rate service.

We stayed at the marina for two nights on the Sternwheeler!! It was absolutely wonderful!! We were looking for a unique getaway and we sure found it!! The boat has two floors and is well equipped for cooking, sleeping and just enjoying peaceful nights on the river. Best part...this is a working boat!! There is a common space where you can hang out with the owners Will and Lori. This space has an icemaker and a grill that you can use. A few blocks away is the Penitentiary and the Mound. There are lots of restaurants and shops within a few minutes from the marina and lots of cute shopping in the small town of Moundsville. In the summer, there is a huge pool at the local park and bike and walking trails are right at the marina entrance. If you want to do something completely out of the ordinary...give this a try! I guarantee...you will like it!!

We were on our way from Pittsburgh, PA to to northern Alabama via the Ohio and Tennessee rivers. We tried to get diesel in Pittsburgh, but there was only one marina that sold it, and their pump did not work. So we set out with about 1/2 tank thinking we would just get some down river. There is no place that sells diesel downriver of Pittsburgh. We were getting pretty nervous, calling Marinas and fuel distributors, but to no avail. We stopped at a private marina just to ask anyone where we could get fuel. Finally one person mentioned Will and Marina 101. Will found us tied to the pier in Wheeling and told us he could help us out. Will and his wife not only helped us with fuel, but asked us to join them for dinner at a great Italian restaurant. Will and his wife went above and beyond in terms of helping, but more importantly, they are great people, and had I the time, I would have loved to stay a few days just to visit with them more. Marina 101: Very reasonable pricing, honest, and very accommodating. Its definitely worth the stop just to hang out and meet two of the most interesting people in the area!
