Sunset Beach Boat Ramp

I went here late in the day to test out my new Old Town Kayak for the 1st time. It was too steep for me to back up a small trailer, so we carried them to the dock at the base of the ramp. I did notice the ramp had great traction and the two docks (one on each side of the ramp) are in excellent condition and looked to be pretty new. There was only one other Angler there getting ready to pull his canoe out of the water. I'm guessing this time of the year is not busy and perfect for a beginner like me to learn how launch with minimal pressure. I'm looking forward to launching there again soon and hopefully catching some Red Drum!

All I love it there is so peaceful I went and read my Bible and just stay down there I don't know probably about 3 hours I was reading and took some pictures and stuff very peaceful I love it anybody goes they want to stay I love it 👁️👁️❤️💜❤️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Sunset Beach is our favorite beach. Love going every week. Parking is a bit full and usually have to go to paid parking lot. $10.

Good access to OIB fishing and Little River. The bad part is only one ramp to back into the water and parking fills up by 8:00-9:00 from June-October. It's also pretty shallow at low tide.
