Was a wonderful place to stay had a great family trip for the weekend in the cabins. The lake was only a small walk to swim and fish. the fire pit was a great way to relax at night. The cabin had lots of room. Catherine was great made sure we had everything we needed she made us feel like family always happy we will return every chance we have.

We really enjoyed our stay at Steele Creek Marina & Campground this past summer! We highly recommend this beautiful spot on Kerr Lake. Marie in the office is absolutly wonderful! Nice showers and restrooms as well as beautiful boat ramps and campsites! We couldn't have been more pleased with our time at Steele Creek! If you are looking for a great place to camp, I hope you will give them a try!

We have found that Steele Creek Marina is our new "Home Away From Home". Last year I stumbled across an ad on Craigslist for the houseboat rental. It was a last minute fix in my failed attempt to make the wife happy and be on the water for Memorial Day. She had us a tent site rented at a state park across the way and I knew good and well that wasn't going to fly. Anyway...I took a shot in the dark and contacted them and somehow the houseboat was still not rented for that weekend. We got there and it was a bustling scene on that Friday. Stuff going on everywhere in the parking lot. Big tents being set up...but why? Tables and chairs stacked up too and what looked like the bones of perhaps a stage....but why? We were met with smiling faces and "can we help you?" from more than two folks and it wasn't just because we were blocking traffic with our boat and trailer...because we were. It was a bunch of "Oh yeah. Glad y'all made it." "We were wondering if y'all were still coming. Pull right there if you want and we will get you all set up and ready." I personally was surprised that they weren't kinda rude. They were busy and I mean busy. Seems they were getting ready for a Memorial Day celebration but also a customer appreciation event that was all bundled in to the next days schedule. We sure picked the right weekend to come for the first trip for sure. BBQ, bands, corn hole tournaments, inflatable water slides and bounce houses for the kids. Tons of stuff we didn't even get a chance to see I'm sure because we were back and fourth out on the lake and back to the dock and houseboat. We had an absolute blast. We go back every chance we get. Maria is our "Go To" and she wears many hats to help make the owners shine. We recommend this whole place to everyone. Campground looks stunning. Bath houses are super clean...even at maximum capacity. The big catfish swim around the fuel dock waiting for you to throw them a handful of fish food from the marina store. It's simply as good of a place as you are going to find that you can come back to time after time and never be disappointed.

So excited that Steele Creek Marina and Campground is under new management! The owner Charles, his family, and the staff are knowledgeable and willing to help in any way. New management began cleaning-up, updating, and repairing the marina and campground areas this past spring. I can't wait to see what they've done during the off-season. There are activities to please every member of the family. My personal favorite, kayaking; However, Donna's pancakes come in for a close second. I would highly recommend to anyone who visits Kerr Lake!

I am a member of a bass fishing club that has came to this campground for many years. The last three years have upset us so bad we will never visit them again. Rude would be a light description of how we were treated. Cursed at and told we had to move to a different site after we had set up our tents on our reserved spot was our welcome to our campground statement last time within the hour. The woman (Martha) who claimed to be the person in charge of the campground told us we were not welcome there because all fisherman cheat her out of money by not paying for what we used. We stay in tents and were told we had to setup on slopes that were 10-15 degrees while travel trailers were given the better spots. We were required to pay the same amount as they were and it didn't matter if a spot was open or not we were not permitted to stay there. While in the tent sites we tried to establish our site from the neighbors and were told by management that they didn't have time and we had to figure it out ourselves. During quiet hours according to their rules we were awaken to make sure we didn't have too many people at our site. All this wasn't just one time as it happened several times, Our club will never stay here again and would stay in our trucks first. Fishermen are treated like dirt and criminals so beware of this campground. If possible it would get no stars!
