We contacted Chris Sivertson after receiving his name on the Grand Marais community Facebook page. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem with our mercury motor and did a work-around to get our pontoon started again in time for upcoming family visits. As soon as the diode came in, he installed it, checking again to make sure the boat started properly. He is very knowledgeable, skilled in boat mechanics, thorough and dependable.

I maintain a deck boat with a Mercruiser 5.7L IO for a local camp. The boat had not run properly in 2 years. Another marine repair shop had the boat in for several weeks, charging over $5,000 in repairs and didn't fix the problem. I then brought the boat to Sivertson Marine this spring. Chris immediately zeroed in on it being a fuel problem. He found a failed fuel injector and a clogged fuel line and check value. The camp boat now runs like it is new!
