I wish I were a local so I could use Sharky’s all the time. The NICEST guy around! Genuinely cares about his work, even follows up afterwards. I had limited revs in my motors and a long transit ahead before putting the boat on a trailer to go to her home port and not only did he get me up and running, but he saw me just an hour after I called! He kindly explained the problems, offered suggestions for what other problems should be soon addressed, offered to walk me through a quick-fix in the event I were to break down mid-transit, and even followed up afterwards to make sure I made it safely and then offered some other suggestions to pass on to the boat owners. I fully endorse his services and wish I knew more people in Atlantic Highlands to whom I could pass his name along. A true gem of a mechanic and of a human.

Dave Sharkey stands by his work and if there is a problem, it get corrected FAST. I brought my Yamaha F70 to him in the late fall of 2021. I was having fuel problems (ethanol). He pumped all the junk out and tuned the motor with new injectors. It was late in the season and I stored the boat with an empty tank. This spring I filled it with $130 of clean (now very $$) gas and launched. Problem at once....missing on two cylinders. Called Dave who said don't drive it to me because you could damage the motor, I WILL COME TO YOU. Several hours later and a lot of work trying to diagnose and fix a boat in the water he was able to come up with an answer - the injectors he had received were defective. Long story end, he replaced the injectors AND ALL WAS GOOD! I call this outstanding service by a guy who is an expert and totally customer focused. Thanks Dave.

It has been hard to find an experienced and responsive marine professional lately. A pure serendipity brought us to the Bakers Marina and Sharky's Marine services when our Tohatsu 15 HP outboard started giving us troubles. Dave came to our boat on a short notice and fixed it in no time at all. He is a very pleasant Gentleman who's been in business many years and as per our talks with local residents he's made a reputation of an absolute wizard when it comes to outboard marine engines. Very highly recommended.
