Ernie has worked on our Chaparral several times, and when my husband bought a used fishing boat, Ernie installed the trolling motor, a stereo, and made repairs needed. I highly recommend A1 Marine. He’s a big help!

This is a Marine Service Company you can trust! My boat had a steering hydraulic leak. Called them, they came when I wasn't home, fixed the problem left a very reasonable invoice. I trust them, their work, their charges and that is really saying something!

Hired this “business” to help us repair our new-to-us boat. We used our pontoon boat one time then it started acting up. Long story short, we hired Ernie based on a family recommendation. After a few delays he finally met my wife to get the key and when he went to start it he said the battery was dead. Wife said he never tried to charge or jump start the battery, and that he immediately said the battery needed replacement. Charged my wife almost $500 for a battery that DID NOT NEED REPLACEMENT. He took advantage of my wife because she trusted his recommendation. After getting it running, he did a quick drive and came back saying that his new recommendation is for us to “put a for sale sign on the boat” as it’s not worth the repair. Wife called me, almost in tears, as we just bought this boat a few weeks earlier and this “trusted” mechanic is telling us to get rid of it. Decided to get a 2nd opinion, and this other company came out the day they said they would. After having our boat a few hours they realized the engine needed some routine maintenance items and after only one day they had our boat back running perfectly! If we had listened to Ernie at A1, we would have taken a loss on the boat and been without one all summer. I would avoid this company at all costs. $500 for a less-than one year old battery is wrong. He knows he took advantage of my wife and he should be ashamed of himself.

Ernie has been a blessing to our family! He's reliable, knowledgeable, and offers reasonable prices. We wouldn't be able to enjoy the water without his services! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Both times he has been very thorough in the inspection in making me aware of any engine issues, as well as potential replacements needed in the future. Having Ernie mobile (and me not having a trailer), makes it convenient to also have him perform all of my services on my boat.
