Safe Harbor Marathon

We arrived Safe Harbor Marathon on Saturday March 15. Prior to arrival I requested a pierside pumpout sometime during our 3 days stay, avoiding a passing cold front and significant winds. They told me, at that time, the West dock t-head pumpouts are normally Tuesday afternoon after check out time. I asked again during our stay if its possible for the pump guy to start at the t-head instead of the other end the other end of the pier so we could resolve the issue before departing at the 1100 check out time. The office employee told me that he would try. I asked the manager again this morning if the pump out could jump ahead of his normal routine was told, no, pumps are not on demand. So we left. This is the first time, at any marina, that the customer service was so inflexible to help. We did not think we were asking for much, in my opinion, especially after spending $680.93. In addition, the t-head has large pilings on the outside of the cement pier that do not have horizontal wood, cushions or fenders. So no matter how you arrange your own fenders prior to arrival there is a high chance of direct boat to piling connect, at least until you can position your horizontal fenders appropriately. Not a very welcoming situation for passing transients. Lastly, an otherwise very nice Safe Harbor location with excellent facilities, laundry, outdoor gathering spots and an onsite restaurant. Next time in Marathon, I'll be taking my business elsewhere and suggesting the same when asked.

Excellent Marina & even better staff. They’ll do what they can to accommodate you to make your stay superb. Access to fuel, power, water, a pool, gym and laundry all onsite. Also, Lazy Days restaurant is walking distance (almost attached) to the Marina. They have great food & drinks. There’s also a lot to do near by. Highly recommend this marina whether you’re stopping overnight or for a week!

We liked the marina and the prices seemed fair. Unfortunately, the gas that we purchased in our fuel can turned out to be mostly water. Caused lots of headaches in the Bahamas when we went to use the gas. Thank God for warm-hearted mariners who had good gas they could spare.

Safe Harbor Marathon is the best marina in Florida! As a professional Captain conducting deliveries in marinas throughout Florida I have dealt with a lot of marinas and the staff at Safe Harbor Marathon always go above and beyond to provide any support or assistance they can. Every single person there has always been incredibly professional and friendly. This attitude starts at the top level of management and permeates every aspect of the marina including the live aboard population there. They have always been friendly and helpful when I have been there as well. The shower and laundry facilities are all new, up to date, and have great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The pool is beautiful, has an amazing view, and is always clean and well kept. The property is always clean, the trash cans are emptied regularly and the staff are always extremely respectful anytime your vessel is boarded for pump outs etc. I docked my personal boat there as well and my four children ages 9 to 2 were always made to feel welcome anywhere we went and by everyone they encountered. Marathon offers several outstanding restaurants and vacation activities as well. I cannot recommend Safe Harbor Marathon enough!

Easy in and out, right off the channel before you enter the harbor. Watch the shallows, check Active Captain and Waterway Guide alerts. East, E Docks, are perfect for short stay transients. The E docks are floating. The E dock slips feature the Aqua Lounge (bathhouse) and a small office and store that can fulfil all quick stop needs. Longer stay amenities such as the bar/restaurant, pool, gym, and laundry are better served from the western docks.
