Beautiful lake with Cool and interesting History

This is probably one of the most beautiful lakes I've been to. The water is so clear and clean. There's over 12000 species of fishes here. It's a great lake for swimming, BBQ, picnic, boating, fishing, basically doing whatever makes you happy. There's lifeguards there too. If you go elsewhere aside from the beach area, you're basically there at your own risk. It's pretty deep and very rocky at the bottom so I recommend water shoes. Whatever you take in, you must take out. Also there's a bathroom and changing area

These pictures dont lie. Absolutely best place to go to get away and enjoy the outdoors PERIOD. have been going here for years.

August 2020. Found this alternative after launching at Majestic Marina and concerned about pulling our pontoon up Majestic's steep grade. Apparently this site is completely updated and certainly looked all shiny and new. Single launch. One caveat: it is surrounded on both sides by rocks. In a strong SW wind, it was tricky to keep our pontoon from quickly blowing onto nearby shoals. (In fact we did) Otherwise, easy grade and deep enough for most any boat at the dock.

Went to launch our boat 7-15-2019.Everything was fine as we launched. Upon return , the whole boat launching dock was covered with Muslims swimming and children playing and all right below the NO SWIMMING sign. They were really in the way and refused to move. Total disrespect for rules or others trying to use the BOAT LAUNCH DOCK.
