The coordinates for this launch are . I have traveled the Upper Klamath Canoe Trail 3 times now, always in October. The shoulder seasons are best as the heat and bugs can be brutal in Summer. This is an excellent launch site. Parking is limited. If full, try the Malone Springs Boat Launch (and Day Use Area) about 5-minutes North (see my review there for more details of the Canoe Trail). This is a spectacular trip. Suitable to kayak, canoe, IK, and SUP. Wildlife is abundant, and the view is stunning. There is a beaver dam at the confluence (entrance) to Recreation Creek at Crystal Creek. A paddle buddy was able to navigate across it in Spring, but every time I have been it was necessary to get out and move the boat across it. As mentioned on the placard at the RP-Launch (which also has an excellent map) the Wocus Cut is best navigated in Spring. I highly recommend this trip. It can get a bit windy on occasion, so exercise caution if you decide to navigate along Pelican Bay.

#1 Guide and Kayak rental in the area. We took a guided kayak tour in April on a spectacular adventure through The Klamath Canoe Trail. We love showing people this area!

So much fun! You can paddle for hours if you like. Just launch your boat, head left from the dock, and follow the signs. It was beautiful, peaceful, and great exercise. We would do this often if we lived closer.
