The scenery hasn't changed - scenery is still magnificent but the ownership has changed ... several years ago I would have called this one of the Top 10 in the world based on the beauty and the host-reception.
The memory of the former owners, their fairness, their friendliness so wonderful but now ... eh, the owners seem like they just got out of the suburbs. Not truly welcoming or friendly. Suburban arrogance is tough to shake.
Obama was president when I first visited; Trump is in office now.
The new owners then and now reflect the way the presidency has changed.
The town hasn't changed. Port Wing's people are still super wonderful. I missed the cafe this time. I hope the cafe hasn't changed ownership.
