Phil and the team at PLR went above and beyond for us on Memorial Day. Even though they were officially closed, Phil answered our call when we were in a pinch to get our boat fixed. He told us to come over, and in just 20 minutes, he had our engine running smoothly again. He also took the time to help us “foolproof” our battery without us even asking. Super nice guy and excellent service. Highly recommend!

We purchased a boat from one of his customers and he was super accommodating and helpful with the process of rewinterizing, checking hours and getting it all hooked up for our 6hr drive home! I’ve owned Cobalt boats for the past 20 years and really appreciate the build-quality and beauty of these boats. Unfortunately, living in Madison I’m not always comfortable with some of the mechanics I’ve found to service my Cobalts. 1 year ago I found Phil Rodgers and PLR Marine Services. Phil is THE MOST knowledgeable and responsive boat mechanic I know. He not only identifies potential service issues prior to the season, and addresses them, (avoiding layups in the Summer), but also helps troubleshoot problems over the phone, avoiding the need to trailer the boat to his shop. Recently, my boat developed a weird noise which we recorded and texted to Phil. From this recording Phil was able to diagnose the issue, identify the necessary service parts and even drove to Madison to service it, right on our lift. From here out, PHIL IS THE ONLY MECHANIC THAT WILL EVER TOUCH OUR COBALT!!

I have struggled to find a reputable boat mechanic in the Lake Geneva area until now. Phil and his team do incredible work. We stored two boats with them this past winter, when we got them they were cleaner and driver better than they have in a decade. PLR is honest with what needs to be done and fairly priced. I am very impressed with the work.
