Pioneer Marina

I teach supply chain management (SCM) courses, and quality management is one of the most important topics in SCM. The Pioneer Marina exhibits all of the qualities of a top service provider. We have been fortunate to have a slip and outdoor storage at the Pioneer Marina for the past three years. On a scale of 1-10, I give this marina a 10 for quality. This excellent quality starts with the manager, Sean. Sean has been a great source of information on all boating-related issues. He has been extremely patient, encouraging, and friendly—these are critical skills when dealing with new boaters. Also, Sean has done a superb job of hiring his staff. I have often interacted with Preston, Garrett, Bill, Gino, Craig, Addison, Ella, & Smith. They all embody the same friendliness and customer skills that Sean exhibits daily. The conditions of the facility (docks, changing rooms, Tiki bar, etc.) are excellent. The value that we receive for our money is very high. This business is one of the best-managed places where we have spent money since moving here in 2001. Sean and staff, you are superstars! Also, thanks go out to Art and the other owners--you have done a superb job of making this a top-notch marina. Dr. Mike G.

Awesome place, new building/showers are top grade!

Pioneer Marina has been great. Last year was our first year storing our boat there. The management and crew is extremely helpful and accommodating. It's great having power and electricity readily available for the boat. It's easy to get in and out of even if we're only going out for a short trip. A great way to avoid the river traffic if you just want to go out to Winnebago. You also can't beat the price.

Great place to watch the air show. See old friends and make new ones. You may hear some laughter from the patio in the evening---its people having fun. Buffy
