Pine Island Marina

I kept my boat at River’s Edge Marina for about seven years to include all service/maintenance jobs, and my boat and jet ski trailers there for about 10 years. The people were always nice and professional. However, during the last two years, my jet ski trailer suffered a broken fender, taillight and license plate bracket as well as ruined tires from being stored in the mud as opposed to inside like I was promised. I didn’t seek damages, did the repairs myself, and sent them a letter stating that I will keep my boat trailer there, but not my jet ski trailer, since it was damaged and being kept outside in the mud. My letter was not derogatory in any way but simply stated the facts. The owner (Rick) called me, said he doesn’t want my business, I needed to come get my boat trailer ASAP, I was a jerk, and he didn’t want me on the property ever again. He stated that he didn’t need my money and spends my $330 trailer fee on lunch every day. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing as I was always nice and professional in person and in my letter. The employees there have always been nice and I’ve never had any issues until speaking to the owner. He turned a business matter into a personal attack which is unacceptable. All that to say that, come to find out, this guy, who also owns Lakeside Marina, has a really bad reputation for losing his temper with customers. I will certainly never do business with him and would advise anyone who does to reconsider. There are other places to get fuel and supplies on Lake Hickory that have great owners and are more worthy of our hard earned money.

The owner is a class act grade a jerk. He wont mind telling you he spent 5 million on this marina ( who cares ). Poor customer service. We removed our boat from their marina and moved to a much nicer location. Would not recommend. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Everyone seemed real nice answered all my questions when I called. I was told $250+ tax to winterize my boat by two different people. 1st a guy that explained what all they did and then by a girl who called to confirm my scheduled day and time. I get a call that the boat is ready to be picked up and get told my total is $337. Their explanation was that the $250 was just the labor, that was not what I was told. If you have anything done here you better get the cost in writing before they do any of the work.

I took my boat there the first time and was thrilled with the communication, the work done and the effort to fix my boat.... that was the first time. The second time I took my boat, I contacted Ashley and spoke to someone in service when I got there and asked them if the boat would be kept outside or inside because if it was going to take a while and the boat was going to be kept outside, I asked if they would put the cover on that I supplied since I just spent $900 getting the boat detailed the week before. I was told that "if" the boat was to be left outside, they wouldn't mind putting the cover on. They kept my boat for roughly a month (no fault of their own... waiting on approval and parts) but when I got my boat back, it was in horrible condition. Like I said, I had JUST paid almost $1000 to have it detailed and as you can see in the pics, you can see the condition I got my boat back in. Not only was it filthy and stained, the deflector on one of the pontoons had clearly been run into a dock because the plastic/wood shavings were still hanging on to the deflector. And for the record, this is a 2018 Crest Caliber with a Suzuki 350 that is kept in a garage that is in excellent condition, not some ratty boat left in the sun all it's life. I appreciate the work they do but I'm in the bodyshop business and if I ever returned a customer's car in the condition they gave me back my boat, I would be embarassed. I expected better than that especially since I have to drive over 2 hours to get there.

Amber is AWESOME!!! We rented a pontoon boat and a ski boat from them, and the boats were in excellent condition, and ran perfectly. Being fairly new to the area, we were winging it for our daughters wedding party on the lake. We had shopped at the marina prior to this trip, and have been treated very well. Thanks Rivers edge People for being so great and fairly priced.
