Perth Amboy Harborside Marina

A fishing buddy and I have fished at this spot a few times this year. There's plenty of parking, restrooms (although I'm not sure what time they're unlocked) and trash/ recyclables bins. It's a clean spot with nice people passing through or enjoying the area. We caught a few fish during at least 2 of the visits. There's a small tackle/ bait shop nearby, as well.

Nice place to spend the afternoon. There are several waterside restaurants and a great little ice cream shop. Fishing is allowed off the pier.

A great place to escape that is within a short driving distance. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty and calm of the marina. It is a great place to sit, listen, and talk with friends while the water dashes up against the docks. We got their early morning around 10, so there was ample parking. There is a built-in park with swings, seating, and water views to enjoy. If you’re a history buff, there are signs that tell about the history of the marina for your education. I learned a few new things myself. To enjoy the marina, go early and have a picnic at the park and / or enjoy the views, then go for brunch.

Beautiful view. I was pleased and grateful for enjoying this Raritan Bay view from Perth Amboy after living by the Hudson River across Manhattan for many years. It's difficult to find a substitute for NYC views...but here I'm.

They have floting docks that rise and lower with the dock. Although the restrooms (not the shower) are open to the public, they are cleaned daily. The harbor master Frank was very helpful and friendly. Very affordable. Lots of security. Within walking distance to downtown.
