Persimmon Point Marine

Alex & Kristy have always been quick to respond and perform quality service. We have used their services for winterizing & opening our boat each season for the last several years. We have had zero issues with our boat during the season because they do such a great job.

So my friend called to inquire about having some work done on his boat. He provided the information and after being on hold, was told they are not doing any repairs or taking new customers at this time. I recommended him to call this place because of the 4/5 stars reviews but apparently if you are a new customer or need work done, don't call.

Apparently boat shops like this one, only deal with people that have a lot of money. Their solution to everything is , we have to open the engine and take it from there. Is what the shop wants, not what the customer wants. Alex is not interested in making a little money and gain a customer for life. He wants to upsell customer into repairs or diagnoses that the customer, hasn’t ask for. He talked about helping me, but the moment I asked for help (paying him, mind you), he wouldn’t, while also being condescending. I don’t recommend this shop. Boat mechanics in this area are something else…

I have been working with Alex and Chrissy at Persimmon Point Marine for a year and a half. They are absolutely wonderful to work with. They are full service and are able to meet any need that I have had. I love that I am able to drop my boat off at the end of the season and schedule a date for the spring to pick it up in the spring at their dock. I have already recommended Persimmon to friends and neighbors.

Our family has been blessed to live so close to Persimmon and utilize them annually to winterize our boat. Krissy and Alex communicate well with their customers and feel like family! When we see them at the marina, on the water, in the store, wherever, they always go out of their way to say hello! What wonderful people to do business with and we trust their honesty and their trade working with older Sea Ray. You won’t be disappointed in their work or their friendly demeanor! Just a few examples of how wonderful they are, they have come to our dock by boat to diagnose issues, tow us to their marina and even met us in the South River when something was going on with the boat and had a mechanic jump on and help bring the boat back in to their marina safely!
