Perch Lake Boat Landing

If you would like to experience the cleanest lake in NW Wisconsin then you have to visit Perch Lake. I really like the township boat launch because it FREE, and everyone is super chill and friendly. There are always people swimming laps, paddlboards, floaties and the occasional kayak or canoe. We love coming on a hot day with a picnic lunch and floating out on the lake for the day. Caution: Only bad thing we have seen is that someone stole our cooler on a busy Saturday in Aug of 2024.

Shhh, Don t tell anyone about this crystal clear tiny and deep lake. A family of loon, soft shelled turtles and a bu ch of pan fish can be easily seen. Go to the adjacent park ($9.) for watercraft rental and picnic tables or launch your own kayaks and park just up the hill.

Perch Lake is perfect for a day trip to either paddle board, swim, kayak, or canoe. The lake is small, in my opinion, but there is something about Perch Lake that makes me want to go back. The dirt road parking lot is conveniently located near the boat landing, so you won't have to walk too far to get to the lake from the parking lot. I had such a good time at the lake that I forgot to take pictures of it for my Google review.

I love this place! The water is clean and people are friendly! No gas powered boats so the water stays clean. I almost always see fish swimming around the shore and tons of stand up boards and kayaks and the swim from one side to the other is refreshing. There are plenty of places to keep social distance from the beach to the boat launch and anywhere in between. It's about a 55 minute drive from me but totally worth the drive every time!
