North Boat Ramp

Good and easy fishing

Didn't see any gators today, but lots of signage. Easy boat ramp, well kept dock to tie off while you retrieve/park the truck, not too busy on a weekday, plenty of parking. Watch out for the hornet nest by the wooden stair case, they are aggressive!

Well designed, with ramp access and fishing pier. Plenty of trailer parking. Well lit at dusk. EXTREMELY shallow when water level is low, and could be a problem for larger boats at any time. Restrooms are about 300 feet away, a healthy hike if nature calls.

I love to let my dog swim here. Friendly folks sittin on their boats to talk to and very calming environment. I'd spend every night down there if I could.

I spent some time here trying to fish a little and was a little disappointed. I noticed the grass had grown up pretty high and this made it difficult to fish from the bank. Standing on the dock we noticed quite a bit of trash thrown around. We tried to pick up a little, but we're kind of overwhelmed and had to stop. Great spot to get your boat in above the lock. For being a basic boat ramp it is very useful to get on the river.
