Muskegon River Boat Launch - Pine Street

Had a great time out on the water with friends. The weather was beautiful and I can't wait to get back out on there and do it again ❤️

This is a really nice place to launch kayaks. There is a ramp going down to the water and it's wide enough for several boaters to get in at the same time. One thing to be aware of, there are some Rapids that might make it hard for a novice kayaker trying to get started on a trip. Our son tipped within the first few minutes and lost his prescription glasses. We were able to get them back in his boat, but he was a bit frustrated the rest of the trip. Other than that, the trip was amazing! It took about 45 minutes per mile. We were in kayaks, but two of us were pulling tubes and the other two were on their first river kayaking trip. We saw a bald eagle, lots of fish, and many other people tubing and kayaking. Everyone was friendly. The river is clean and fairly wide. We truly enjoyed the day!

Very clean and fun place to take the grandkids to feel the cold river water. And see wild life.

Went on guided steelhead trip. A very large parking lot and busy! Only one lunch which ices up quickly I recommend a four wheel drive and a bucket of sand if you go when it's below freezing. Also you are launching into the Muskegon river and the current is fast.

Great boat launch in one of the best trout spots in Michigan. The bathroom gets quite dirty during the steelhead and salmon run. Plenty of parking space for individual vehicles and ones with trailers. Also a great spot to launch canoes and kayaks!
