Milton Landing

Nice place to launch a kayak or splash in the water. The Rivanna is currently low. There aren't any restrooms or porta potties. Parking is adequate but could be improved.

Easy and convenient access to the Rivana River

Used to go here just to hangout as a kid now I'll meeting my kids when they get out of the river. Nothing really has changed. The only reason I give it a 3 star is because there still is no room really for parking. And if you have a pick-up or big suv it's very hard to turn around you might have to back all the way out.

Great pickup and drop-off location, though some days bug spray might be a good idea...as you might become lunch or dinner for insects. The landing has wood steps down to the river, great upgrade as it used to be a mud-slide to the river.

Great place to do some small mouth fishing, or walking along the River. Always plenty of Wildlife we see eagles there quite often otters dear and a wide variety of ducks and geese. Also a really good place to bring your dogs most of the time there's hardly anyone there you can just let them run. The trail will lead all the way back to Charlottesville bring you under the 64 Bridge and up to Riverview Park or to free bridge. One of mine and my kids favorite place to go hang out!!! My kids and I recently put up a ladder for one of the small creek crossings you have to go across the bank was real muddy and treacherous and we figured it would help with eliminating some erosion.. Looks like someone appreciated it they wrote thanks in mud on it...
