Melvern Lake Marina Inc

I called and asked about the heated dock. I was greeted by Eric, who was friendly and helpful. I drove the hour and a half and arrived at 7 am. We paid for fishing and went inside. It was 19 degrees outside, but maybe 55 inside the heated dock. Fishing was slow. I caught 4 fish over 10 inches and maybe 9 fish total. I guess I picked a bad day. Eric said the day before fishing had been hit and miss. I guess I missed. It warmed up more as the wood burning stove was on longer, and I actually had to shed a sweater. It was much warmer than the heated dock on Hillsdale. I definitely plan to return.

Nice campground. Sites in the b loop are kinda close together, but they are all 100% pull through. Plenty of grassy areas. Not much between the sites. This makes things noisy at times. The pricing was nice and included sewer hookup. Pet friendly. army core run.

It's a beautiful well maintained lake. At least for memorial weekend. Wasn't crowded, fishing was good, clean bathrooms/showers. 12 out of 9 would recommend.

The service and food at the marina were exceptional. I’ve rented boats at 10+ marinas and their check-out and check-in times and procedures were very gracious (8am - 6pm). I couldn’t thank Eric enough for our pontoon rental experience. It’s a great location between KC metro and Wichita to meet up with the family. I hope to be back soon with family and for the bike race in October.

Beautiful lake!! Everything is well taken care of and all the people are super nice and friendly. Evertime we come out its been super fun. No complaints and no issues with other boaters or campers. Had the breakfast pizza at the marina today it was super good. It disappeared so fast we didn't get any pictures.
