My daughter brought two stand up paddle boards to vacation on Hilton Head Island this year. It took some searching to find public access to the inland water. The Marshland Road Public Boat Ramp was a great find. A good time was had by all.

This was so cool and just two miles down the road from our Weston Resort! Tons of parking and it was so easy to launch my jet ski! There is also a restaurant on the pier right next door. This is so convenient. Clean safe and we could have parked our motor coach here as well!

Free parking. Free boat ramp. Porta potties. Not too busy on a Saturday morning. No overnight parking but dogs and fishing are OK.

Great spot to launch a kayak or throw in a line. Also good spot for casting a net...lots of finger mullet. I'd recommend going in the 90mins before or after high tide.

Great stop! Easy in and out of the water with SUPs or kayaks. Great spot for the kids to get on the water. Not deep, but the mud is thick! While on the water we saw some sting rays, lots of cranes and pelicans, even some dolphins swam by!!
