Loon Marine Service, LLC

My regular mechanic has retired and I used Loon Marine to install risers and manifolds, replace both starters and tune my twin engine Volvo Penta 5.0. My boat is stored in Warwick, RI and Tony came over from his home base in CT. He was on time, communicative and professional. He quickly go to work and finished the job in under 6 hours. I will definitely use Loon Marine again. Their quick response time and excellent work are rare these days and its great to know that there is a mechanic like Tony available.

Filled out the online form for service, no reply. Called the number days later and left a message, no reply. I texted days later and got a call back only to be told I'll call you next week to service your boat and you guessed it, no call. I found someone else and had the outdrive apart and serviced in 2 days. Loon might be busier, but no excuse for the lack of communication keeping me waiting.

They are great. He is a 1 man wrecking crew. 2cd time he did my boat and will only use him. Great work great prices. If you want it done right contact him. Changed my oil and stern drive oil. Coolant in the motor. And shrink wrap.

I have used Tony for the last 3 seasons to wrap and winterize my boat and have been very satisfied with his work. He is an experienced boat mechanic and does excellent work. In the fall he gets very busy, but will get back to messages as soon as he gets a chance. He runs a pretty lean shop so understandably he is not always able to answer immediately, but has never left me hanging. My suggestion is get on the schedule early in the fall so you’re not scrambling to get on his schedule when the temps start to drop and he is already booked solid.
