Lindenhurst Outboard SVC INC

Had my 2000 Johnson 150 back up and running flawlessly in under one week during the month of July. Even water tested the boat with me before accepting my payment. Stand up owner and promptly addressed my fuel issues fixed for under $500 ( local shops wanted 2k plus and said they would " get to it when they can". Thank you guys ! Not sure why they have negative reviews. Coming from a business owner myself I'm betting that he's either swamped with boat repairs or whoever works there isn't suited to go near an evinrude or Johnson.

Ralph is the best. Any negative review seen is due to either people who don't know how expensive it is to maintain a boat, or due to the past staff. Lindenhurst outboard has been revamped with a full staff to accommodate any issue your boat has. Every shop said 3-6 weeks for my boat to even be LOOKED AT, Ralph had my boat fixed in 25 minutes while I waited and charged me a fraction of what local shops quoted me for

The worst experience I even had. Refused to return my deposit. I am taking them to small claims court for it. They lie non stop they lie so much that they even forget what lies they tell you. 6 weeks later they did not picked up the boat. You call them they act like this is the first time you talk to them. Your not in the computer. The computer is not working. Then they tell you to call at 8 am and they don’t pick up you call until 9 then they tell you that you called to late and everyone is out so call again tomorrow. I don’t know how they stay in business.

I've had decent experiences with this shop in the past, but unfortunately things have gone down hill in the past few years. The shop/yard looks more like a boat junk yard than it does an outboard repair shop. The shop and owners are so disorganized it's a wonder how they're still in business. First, I call to make an appt and they say to leave the boat in the street in front of the shop (because there's no room in the yard). To their credit, they diagnosed the issue that day, and told me they'd order the replacement part. Two weeks go by of me calling the shop, stopping in and leaving my name and number, and I was never able to even confirm that they'd order the part. Each time I stopped by, it was as if it was the first time they were even talking to me about the repair. I shared all my contact info, and even gave them my engine model # and part#, and still I couldn't get a confirmation the part had ever been ordered. Long story short, I brought the boat to another shop, who had the part already in inventory and made the repair same day. As much as I like to support local business, I can no longer recommend this shop

Cant thank Ralph and Vinny enough. They are the best boat mechanics around . Funny thing is all the other marine mechanics that I know call on them when they need help or advise. They are worth the wait because when you get your boat back its done right. Tired of bringing my boat to mechanics and not getting problems done right the first time and have to keep bring it back the whole season. Delivery and parts are out of there control with Covid 19 but they always figure out a way to get it done right. Thank you guys
