I bought a new boat and a new motor from Lenny when he had a Mariner dealership. Someone stole my motor and I went back to Lenny and bought another new motor. This made me a repeat customer.
A few years later I took a different motor in for repairs on the water pump that was not pumping. I paid for it and went and put it in the creek. After about a half hour it quit pumping again and I had to paddle back. I took it back to Lenny and left it and when I went back to pick it back up he wanted to charge me the same thing again. I told him I put it in the shop to have the water pump fixed and it was not fixed. He claimed that parts from the old water pump had gotten inside the motor and that he had to take it apart to get them out. I said that should have been done from the get-go. We argued back and forth and it got pretty heated. I finally handed him the money and told him I would never be back and that I would tell the story to everybody I knew, and I have and I still tell it to this day, close to 25, or 30 years later. Don't waste your money!

Like others have said I was charged $250 for NOTHING I came in with a fuel issue and he adjusted the throttle cable and charged me $250. Then I brought it back within 20 minutes and he has the nerve to say “I don’t see no fuel leaking”

I do not recommend. He charged us $600 for nothing. We picked up the boat on Friday and took it to the water the next day. It would not crank and we noticed gas was leaking which was not leaking when we took it to him. We called him today to let him know we we’re bringing it back to him to fix what we thought he fixed. He caught an attitude with us and stated what you want me to do fix someone else #%$& up. First of all if you are a boat repair place that’s what you suppose to do is fix the boat not make it worse. Bad customer service.

Charged me 600 dollars to rebuild carburetors and clean the fuel system. I got the back to the house only to discover he never even drained the old gas out of the tank winch was the problem in the first place i drained the tank. I put the boat in the water and it wouldn't even crank much less run. The boat was starting before i took it to him. My trim pump is now leaking and was not prior to me taking it to him. I dont know how this pos has had a business for so long doing things like this..

Worst customer service ever. He overcharged me $30 on an impeller for my water pump, and when I asked him about price he snatched it back and said it's best if you order your stuff online I dont need to help you. $65 for a $10 impeller. I wouldnt reccomend to anyone. I was still going to get it rather than wait 3 weeks in the mail and he refused to sell to me because I questioned price. Old man who is stuck in his ways. I guess maybe he didnt know me so he decided I wasnt worth being cordial with.
