Great place to launch your Kayak. We made the 21.6 mile trip from here to Bent Creek boat launch. There is a ton of beautiful scenery. The water is very clear. We saw lots of wild life, including deer, Mallard ducks, Red head ducks, a huge Racoon, and several Bald Eagles.

Nice boat ramp on this part of the James. The parking area and ramp are pretty nice. The end of the ramp needs a little work. The way the ramp ends and the kinda muddy bottom makes it a bit of a challenge to get out especially when tubing. But other than that it is a great place to put in or take out.

This is not a ramp !!!! Been all over and never seen bs like this this is for launching kayaks and canoes can't take away the one star so ....
