Second day in vacation north of Hayward and there is a problem with my outboard. After several frantic calls, Daryll was able to get me in for service. No promises but said he would do the best he could on turnaround. He not only got the problem solved but was able to get the boat back quickly. Highly recommend John's Motor Sports and I will go back for any future work. Thanks again!

John's Motorsports is the place I take my boat to. They are very knowledgable and friendly. When I take my boat there to get fixed it gets fixed right the first time every time. I appreciate that, because summer it too short! I also appreciate that John's has the answers I am looking for when I ask a question or two. :) Thank you for the excellent service!

This is my first time leaving a review on this but I feel like I should: I own a express cruiser style boat with a 7.4/Bravo 2 which I wanted bellows service completed on. I called 5 places in the Duluth/Superior area, getting nowhere, and started reading reviews on another shop which said they gave up with the no call backs and used John's Motor Sports instead and how happy they were. I found all of the positive reviews a little hard to believe based off my prior experience trying to get work done. But I am here to say they are all true. First off, they answered the phone. Secondly they were friendly and helpful, and didnt ever make me feel rushed or unimportant as I was describing my concerns with the boat. Then it came time to schedule a job and I could not believe how soon they were able to book my service in the summer season. I think it was just a few days from when I had called. And to top it off they said it would take one day if everything went right. Now this blew my mind. Not only that but the website says in certain scenarios they can come to you or even pick up your boat and take it to their shop. When it came time to do the job they ran into some frustrations but most importantly did not give up and just seemed to go way WAY above and beyond to get the job done and get the boat back on the water. They are official Mercury dealer/technicians and were able to reach back to Mercury and work it out. I did not know this when I booked the job. Point being they didnt give up and had that reach back capability and all the OEM toolsets and diagnostic equipment. That was a pleasant surprise. I am not the kind of person to bring a job to a shop and usually always try to teach myself and struggle through tasks, but this shop has my trust 100% and you know they are going to do the job the right way, without cutting corners that you may or may not know have been cut. I just came away feeling great about the whole experience. Was happy to pull the boat out of the marina and drive an hour to them. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Happy I found them. It was to me so surprising to find a business so focused on the customer in this industry and with the changes in the workforce COVID brought on still able to pump out the jobs and at the same time just punch way above expectations on customer service. I dropped in on probably the busiest day of the year and Daryl took the time to quickly diagnose my engine alarm issue. Unfortunately they didn't have the part I needed but he did show me exactly what needed to be replaced. I found the part at a competitor and was able to replace it myself and it saved our week of fishing! Everyone inside was also very helpful and knowledgable when we needed a new rope for our automatic anchor. Thanks to the friendly and knowledgable staff!
