John Nickell Boat Ramp, Kentucky River

This could be a really nice ramp with a perfect location and great water access. However, people go down there and shoot guns and do lots to put others in danger and make them feel unsafe. I think this ramp needs more structure in place to keep it safe for everyone.

If you go here on a summer night it's white trash central. People swimming on the boat ramp that refuse to move of you try to launch, bonfires, fourwheelers, guns and more meth than you can shake a stick at.

Very beautiful! Couldn't get pictures of swimming area, people swimming. Boating, 4 wheelers and kayaking. You can grill.

Nice clean ramp plenty of parking state owned and operated on a beautiful stretch of river (pool 8) 30 minutes from downtown Lexington.

This COULD be such a lovely place to spend your day near Nicholasville with bountiful wildlife and a pleasant beach, but like most things in the area, this place is terribly run down and polluted with litter. Why we don't as a community take care of our natural beauty, I will never know. There is a lot we could take pride in. Wake up, people! We CAN have nice things! 😁 Love our natural wonders!
