My wife and I bought a brand new Berkshire while we were at our beach place. Our first time out on the lake with it we hit what was later deemed to be a log. We contacted Jim’s Anchorage as at the time they were the only provider I could get a hold of that was close to me. I asked them to pick up the boat and diagnose what needed repaired to file a claim for repair with the insurance company if it made sense. In that conversation, Issac informed me that insurance companies usually cover pick up since it’s part of getting the boat repaired so I never gave it a second thought. In that conversation, Issac informed me that insurance companies usually cover pick up since it’s a part of getting the boat serviced after a breakdown. At this time Issac did not indicate any amount I was going to be charged to pick it up. When they went to pick up the boat, they had trouble getting the keys for the boat and trailer. Instead of calling letting me know that they were having trouble and asking permission, which I never would have done, I would’ve driven there hitched the boat to my car and taken it in for service at that point. No word from them until they call to tell me that the boat is fixed and my bill was 1K to pickup the boat, replace a prop and water test. I was upset, but glad it was all taken care of. We put it on the water in gear and the boat still has a vibration. At this point having been charged $600 to pick my boat up, Jim’s Anchorage took a grinder to a lock on my trailer without my permission. It’s clear they were looking for a quick cash grab. Fortunately, we had Shy Beaver Boat Service for a very nominal fee pickup the boat and determine that the new prop was cavitating and/or ventilating and 2 cylinders were reporting misfirines. The boat is now with the company we bought it from and they are going to make everything right. Caveat emptor. (Buyer beware.). I attached a photo of the repair order where they charged me $600 to pick the boat up. put on an unsuitable prop per shy beaver, remove and destroy a lock they had no business removing, and leave me with a problem.

Jim’s anchorage was a pleasure to do business with. I ruined my Torquemaster Lower unit & tempest prop on my new Pro XS 250 & they had my boat up and running in less than a month during the busiest time of year. Isaac & Tina were great at answering questions & making sure to note down all my concerns & requests. I look forward to dealing with them in the future.

We recently purchased a used boat from a private seller. The first day we went to take it out, it wouldn’t start. After getting over the initial disappointment we stopped at Jim’s to ask if they had any recommendations. They told us to bring the boat in and they would look at it. A few hours later we got a call that it was a simple loose wire in motor. This was all on a Saturday morning. I could not believe they were willing to help us out on such short notice. They saved our weekend!!!!

We had an excellent experience at Jim’s Anchorage when purchasing our first boat. We spent many years(10) looking, researching and visiting the other dealerships in the area and our experience with Wayne Price was top notch!! Wayne was more than patient with us when asking a million and one questions then we would hit the internet and do our research to verify the information provided. Wayne certainly gained our trust!!
Jim’s Anchorage also has a nice store with boat accessories and parts. The customer service with the girls at the counter was friendly and amazing- very knowledgeable!!
We are looking forward to the years ahead of us and enjoying the water a Raystown Lake and this experience has made us feel both welcomed and excited for an amazing summer of fun!! So glad to be part of the Jim’s Anchorage family! Thank you!! 😊

We were on the lake with our 2019 South Bay Pontoon when our150 hp Evinrude eTech engine suffered a catastrophic engine failure. There was a hole in the engine block the size of a quarter! Took it to Jim’s and fortunately it was still under extended warranty and luckily Evinrude is still manufacturing parts and quickly got them to Jim’s. They us back on the water in under 2 weeks!!!! I honestly thought our season was over! Thank You Jim’s Anchorage and Evinrude for the quick action!
