Sham of a shop. However good of a tech he MAY be, he is twice as bad at running his business. Call his shop- he won't answer! Try and leave a message- ya can't it's full. My guess is he's hiding from some people.
I had the pleasure of watching him squirm in small claims court recently. Had to file a judgement against him because he hasn't repaid what he took from me! This guy will lie, file illegal liens, use the illegal lien to leverage your bank, trash you to other shops and add items to the bill that were never done. I enjoyed watching the judge pick him apart!! BEWARE!
I will go out of my way to tell my story to whomever will listen. If you've been screwed by Jimmer, hit me up, I'd be glad to help you FREE OF CHARGE! In his words "Ive done this before", so I know he's done some of you dirty.
And, for those that think I'm FOS. If this review is false, it's called slander and he could sue me. All of this is in ink. He lost and he has to pay me. You picked the wrong dude, Jimmer!

Let me start off by saying that they fixed the issue that I brought the boat in for however, as a result of the fix caused an additional issue. They were referred to me by another shop as they are one of the only places that have the computer program to work on Sea-Doo jet boats in speaking with the owner he was hesitant to work on the boat, but agreed that he would give it a look. He was able to diagnose the issue and contact me with the fix (replacement of broken reeds) and I knew it would be a while until I got the boat back. The day after I got the boat back I dropped it in the water to test it out and as soon as I turned it on, I had a solid tone for an alarm. I tried troubleshooting myself as in the past when I’ve had alarms on start it’s typically been an issue with the oil. I noticed that the oil was a bit low, about 3/4 full, but thought that it needed to be full as the reeds were just replaced. I called Jim Raymond and asked if they had oil and told them what I was hearing and they said they hadn’t heard that but they did sell me the oil so that I could top it off. I purchased the oil and topped off the reservoir, but still had the alarm. I called them back, asking what the next step was and they told me to check the battery and if I still had issues to call them back. I pulled the battery and brought it to AutoZone and they tested it, and it passed with flying colors. I called them back and ended up leaving them a message, asking what the next steps were. When I didn’t hear back after a couple days, I called again and left another message. I felt they were giving me a hint by not responding so thankfully I found another shop in West Monroe off Route 49 that worked on Sea-Doo jet boats and I wanted to get the boat in the water at least once this season, so I brought it there. The team fixed the boat within 20 minutes, the issue was that the oil pump was unplugged. I asked them if that is something that could’ve come loose or worked its way out on its own and I was told no, it would have been unplugged. They ended up charging me $90 for the fix which I was more than happy to pay now that everything was working. I called Jim Raymond back to let him know that whoever had worked on it must’ve forgot to plug it back in (honest mistake) and that the alarm had to have been ringing while it was in his shop. Unfortunately I had to leave another message. I asked them to call me back so that we could discuss maybe splitting the cost and they never called me back. so again, I will say that they diagnosed and fixed the initial issue, which, by the way cost $1500, but did not stand by their work. I would just say for anybody going there to be cautious and maybe have them fire up your boat prior to you leaving.

I stumbled upon Jim's shop on a google search. I called and spoke to Jim about my issue regarding my outboard. No questions asked he told me to bring it in. I did not realize he was a "big" engine repair shop. I have a 25hp engine, much smaller than what he generally works on. He without hesitation helped me out and fixed the problem. So much respect and appreciation for what he did for me!
