Jacksons Landing at Patuxent River Park

There is a boat ramp and a kayak launcher. The deck is in need of some repair. There are a few boards that are soft and sunken into the water. People also come to fish off the pier. Watch out for the lines.

Yes they have a couple of boat ramps, one for Jon boats, and one for kayaks and canoes. Boat ramp aside, this place is very Scenic and peaceful. They also have viewfinders to watch the Eagles nested in the area.

Lot to see and do here if you love nature. I went here to kayak. There is dedicated kayak launch area so that you don't need to get your feet wet. I think that this is the only area In the Patuxent River Park with such a kayak launch. SUPER! However, the water does tend to get shallow at certain times. Went downstream for about two hours and saw lots and lots of birds. On the way back, may kayak bottomed out as I was getting closer to the launch area. Nearby schools bring kids here for field trips. The water is shallow enough that the kids can get off the boat into the water. Would have loved to experience that when I was in grade school. There are also lots of trails to walk through and explore. They even have walkways that meander through the marshes, so you can really get up close.

Super place to visit. Lots of beautiful birds to see. Beautiful nature refuge. They do rent canoes and kayak there as early bas april!

This place was so beautiful and peaceful. Took the kids out on the boat and had such a good time
