Irwin Marine of Alton Bay

Terrible service department. Will not help with a repair, will not help source parts, no help whatsoever. Stay away at all costs. Service person on phone was incredibly rude and condescending. Quite disappointing. Use a smaller local shop if you have the chance.

Purchased new Berkshire Pontoon boat from them. First off whomever goes through the boat to get ready for the customer should be fired. Bolts missing washers (captain chairs) for example. Screws missing, chair adjustment lever. Lighting bulbs loose. Seems everything was completed half fast. Unless your handy, go purchase your boat elsewhere.

We rented a boat at this location for a few days and the people/boat were awesome. My dumb self hit a rock with the propeller the first day. We brought the boat in that afternoon, they replaced the propeller immediately, and we were back on our way in no time. The kids that work the dock were also great and taught us a lot about the boat and lake.

The people at Irwin Marine in Alton Bay are amazing, knowledgeable, and helpful. It's a VERY PLEASANT complete stop for everything we need. Everyone is great, but we most recently worked with Rob and Pete, who are both fantastic.

Purchased in summer of 2022, broken snaps and scratched paint were promise and on contract to fix. However, they could not fix until 2023 which I agreed! Fast forward May 2023, brought boat in to fix issues, told first come first serve, six weeks later, boat is ready but no service was completed to fix snaps and the area needing painting was only buffed out instead of painted! The clear coat was completely buffed off and looks worse then when I left it there! Do yourself a favor, don’t buy from Irwin. No service, no return calls, Gary the service manager, simply says oh well we have no help! Guess next step is to call my attorney which will be the only winner here. Follow up 9/9/2023 I only have 15 hrs on this boat and gages are breaking, battery has been replaced three times and now Irwin refuses to service/warranty my boat for any reason until I take down this review! Isn’t blackmailing me against the law? Just don’t buy there!
