Hired Jeff to change our shaftseal and service the heat exchanger on our engine for our 56' sailboat at Herrington Harbor. Off the coast of NJ, noticed a pile of black dust under the Tides shaftseal with seawater gushing in and antifreeze in the bilge. Made it to New England without sinking - contacted Tides Marine who confirmed shaftseal installation was faulty - not enough water flow to cool shaftseal - in fact there was no water flow (this should have been tested - Jeff was on our boat after it was launched ) - boat had to be re-hauled and shaftseal and heat exchanger gasket completely redone at great expense and inconvenience. If you are looking for quality, you had best look elsewhere.
