Guilford Mackintosh Park

Very nice walk. We went fairly slowly and finished the 3 miles in about 1.5 hours. not very challenging as far as elevation goes. path is broad and very clear. And they have boat rentals at the lake. $6 an hour for paddleboats, $15 a day for kayaks and they have 2 seater kayaks.

This parks hours are all over the place. They're constantly closed at weird times, and the information on the google listing is never updated. I've shown up here to run the trails multiple times to find it closed when online it says its open. I've also been told to leave by staff, apparently parking+starting a run a full hour before closing is cutting it too close. What the point of even existing if people can't use the space? Unbelievably frustrating.

I was happy to discover that this little park has some nice walking trails through the woods and along the lake's edge. It was a nice casual stroll and we even got to see three different dear. We saw a young buck and doe, as well as an adult doe. The park does close at 7pm this time of year though, so plan accordingly. The park also has a playground, grills, canoe/kayak rentals, and a pavilion you can rent.

This place has it all. Bathrooms fishing boating swimming hiking trails. It also has a great pavilion & beach.

Great place for a family, church or company outing! Grill ,Chill and relax, Kayak,Canoe or take a hike. Fishing 🎣 and boating may be your plans. Great way to spend the day on a budget and enjoy nature
