Night fishing? Big fish jumping. No bites.

Nice boat launch with dock. Too bad the vegetation growing on top of the water has gotten so bad it started surrounding the dock. A nuisance for boaters. A problem up and down the Mohawk/Hudson. Why is that anyway? Can anything be done? Seems like it is choking out the river.

This launch is located at the west end of Erie Canal lock 7 where the river opens up and you can watch the boats and other people play on the water. The launch is large enough to accommodate pretty much any size boat and it's a great place to drop a kayak in. There is plenty of parking and green space with picnic tables and grills. You can bring your fishing pole and try your luck or just sit back and relax in your own portable chairs. It's pretty open without allot of shade so if your planning on going during a hot sunny day, bring your sun block.

One of my favorite places to fish but now they have put big boulders along edge of the road so you cannot drive down to the wall at the edge of the water make it a little harder for disabled people that can't walk too far other than that I love it
