I came here on a low tide evening to hop around on the rocks and enjoy a sunset. Turns out the sun sets behind the trees, but I still got a really cool/pretty reflection of color across the water, and the rocks were super fun. However, at least on my evening, the bugs were out in FULL FORCE, which did take away from the experience a bit. -1 star for that, but still a cool (and free) way to end a day!

Great biking and hiking path. The paved path is 14 miles one way. Well maintained and beautiful scenery.

1st time. Hard to get a read on the spots to fish. Was super foggy. Beautiful. Rocks are very challenging. Have very good footwear. Tall boots. Lots of hiking. Wish I had the kayak. Looks awesome to go out in.

We live within spittin' distance of this place and I can't be here enough. The River Trail has improved some things and also brought more people to the area. Don't bring small children unless you keep them close to you and are constantly looking over your shoulder for 'Lance Armstrong' or 'Floyd Landis' wanna-be's. They have a right to be on the trail but don't expect them to care about your safety or your child's. So keep your dog on a short leash because the 'Tour de Falmouth' is serious business to these guys and they fly by you at 30 or even 40 mph. Still, I meet so many great people on this trail. A lot of them I know from growing up in the area. Plenty of bird watching opportunities too. Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Great Blue Heron, Pileated Woodpeckers, Northern Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, Wood Ducks (yes! I've seen them!), Green winged Teals, Cormorants and Buffleheads just to name a few. Lots of snakes too!
