When the water is up I enjoy kayaking down the rapidan to the Rappahannock to motts run it's a long ride but fun

I enjoyed the visit, although it was very busy on a hot Sunday morning parking was about at capacity. There is quite a bit of litter here. Sort of decent birding probably on days when there are less people. Quite a bit of poison ivy, to be expected for the habitat though.

Public boat launch, fishing spot, Civil War battle site, and usable river ford if you're into wading through a river on foot. Five stars for excellent river fording.
