Elk River Park Boat Launch

I live right behind here it's a nice quiet spot plenty of parking no problem turning around there's also a pavilion clean port a pot ,you can launch ur boat or fish right there,amazes me that it still not well known it's never crowded and u can still go there n just sit w out elktons finest harassing u like they do everywhere else!!!!

Great fishing location. Always clean and friendly people. The only complaint is there aren't any port a potties or grills near the pavilion.

Great launch. Needs a little upkeep, starting to get let go

The boat ramps are wide and grooved . There is plenty of parking. It’s designed for trailered boat launch. There’s a 50 dollar per year trailer permit per the Cecil county recreation department. Kayak launch is allowed without a trailer permit. The shore line around the area is muddy marsh. Further down the Elk River it widens out into a bigger area of the river. It’s a nice usually quiet place to paddle a kayak or launch a boat. You can fish from the park’s shoreline.
