Great people to work with. Brad Lanier and Adam Massey were excellent. Would definitely do business with them again

February of 2024 I bought a Tahoe from this dealership and I had a wonderful experience in the sale process. Fast forward to the first service I took the boat to them (against advice from my friend who said it could be done a lot cheaper elsewhere) because I enjoyed my last visit and trusted them with my business. I work in the service field so I understand cheaper isn’t always better. I had a warranty issue with the fuel gauge only registering half a tank worth of fuel. I was informed that this is a normal issue with boats and they fixed the issue. I received a phone call after the service and warranty work was completed for payment. When they told me the pricing I was a little concerned with the pricing so I just requested it be sent to my email. When I looked over pricing I noticed they were charging me labor on the warranty work. I called back to make payment and mentioned it and they removed it. Still kinda odd to me how that was missed on a brand new boat on its first service but whatever. Makes you wonder if they would have ever caught it or corrected it had I not noticed and just paid when they first called. Fast forward to a couple months later my Bimini boot flew off my top multiple times and finally was unable to be used again and the center aft seat cushion cracked within months of owning the boat from normal use. I contacted them to see about warranty possibilities even though I was unsure this would be covered. They requested I bring it in for pictures just in case they would cover it and I brought it in the guy took pics and said he would give it to warranty guy and it would take up to a week for a response. I waited a week and messaged online and got no response. The next day I called in and spoke with the warranty gentleman who sounded like he had better things to do than to speak to me and he informed me it likely wouldn’t be covered but he would submit them if he could find out who took the pics which means they were never turned over to him. Now it’s been an additional couple weeks since this conversation and I’ve heard nothing. I guess if you aren’t buying something from them it’s not important to them. And before I get a response saying “we haven’t heard anything yet”, like i said prior I work in the service industry updates are important even if it’s to say we haven’t forgot about you.

Hands down the worst purchasing experience I have ever received. The dealership will tell you sportsman mandates people must use their local dealer. This is simply not true, it is a strong suggestion for warranty claims, however not a requirement. I found another deal, the exact same boat for $8,000 less. I even tried to work with this dealership for the same price, however instead of working on a new price custom marine called the dealership I received the quote from and tried to persuade the dealer not to sell the boat to me. Very sneaky business. Thankfully the other dealer still agreed to continue with the sale. I have met several others with the same shady experiences with custom marine and ended up purchasing elsewhere. I don't think they realize how much people talk. Either avoid this dealer altogether or do yourself a favor and ask around about this dealership before even thinking about inquiring.

I ordered a boat in October of 2021, and took delivery in June 2022. The entire process from beginning to end was an absolute breeze and my salesman Brad Lanier kept me updated throughout the whole process. I'll definitely return when I'm looking for a new boat, or work performed on my current one.

I recently brought my cherished 2016 Pathfinder 2200TRS down to Custom Marine in Statesboro, Georgia for some slightly unusual warranty work.  The lifting bow cleat hardware had been improperly installed at the factory and for safety reasons, needed to be replaced.  When the folks at Ft McAllister Marina or Shellman Bluff, lift that boat out of the trailer to lower it to the water, it’s a long way down!  For that reason, I drove 237 miles down to this dealership from my home in Milton, Georgia in order to have the work done properly.  I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The Custom Marine Warranty/Service Department, under the exemplary leadership of Ms Amber Tucker, did the job and exceeded all expectations. They did a beautiful job and when I next launch in a location where the boat needs to be lifted - I will be 100% confident of everything holding together.  Not only that, THE BOAT WAS CLEANER WHEN I PICKED IT UP THAN IT HAD BEEN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF!  No footprints, no marks of any kind, no evidence that anyone had ever been on board.  Magical. But wait, there is more… The boat was ready to be picked up sooner than promised. Let me repeat that, so you don’t think that was a typographical error.  I brought my boat to a marine dealership for service and it was done SOONER THAN PROMISED! Service Manager, Ms Amber Tucker, was responsible for managing the repair and did the job perfectly.  She listened and clearly understood the problem, she communicated with Maverick Boat Group to follow up on parts delivery, she picked the right technician for the job and she kept me informed every step of the way. I will not hesitate to recommend Custom Marine to any of my Pathfinder buddies and when it is time for my next new boat, I will again be driving down Route 16 toward Statesboro.
