Dynamic Marine and Motorsports

I purchased a brand-new pontoon with a Yamaha F115 outboard from Dynamic Marine. Yamaha ships these motors dry—no oil—and it's up to the dealer to fill them before first start. Unfortunately, Dynamic Marine failed to do this properly, and the engine was run with what they now claim was "about a pint" of oil (the engine requires a little over 3 quarts). This happened during delivery—before I even took possession. When I contacted Yamaha directly, they confirmed: The engine should not have been started like that. Damage from low oil cannot be diagnosed without tearing the engine down. And most importantly: any damage caused by that event is not covered under warranty. Dynamic Marine has refused to replace the motor and insists “everything is fine,” despite Yamaha’s warning and 𝐧𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧. The result: I now own a compromised, high-dollar outboard that may have internal damage—and no reliable warranty coverage for the most expensive parts of the engine. I gave this dealership every opportunity to make it right. What I got instead was blame-shifting, misleading statements, and denial of responsibility. If you're considering buying a boat or motor here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. —Robert Broyles PS: Can any genii out there explain how less than 1 pint of oil in a 4-stroke engine that holds 6.48 pints is supposed to lubricate all the components? According to Dynamic Marine, no problem, all is well! Well, I’m having a hard time believing that less than 1 pint of oil magically pressurizes and flows through all the galleries, bearings, crankshaft drillings, rocker arms, and cylinder walls like it's no big deal. But that's their position! Update: I have filed a complaint with South Carolina department of consumer affairs! If this fails, I will contact an attorney.

My wife and I have had a great experience buying our new pontoon boat from Dynamic Marine and Motorsports in Lexington, SC. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Isaiah has followed up with our many questions (while we have been boat owners for many years, we’ve never owned a pontoon or tritoon). Scott, the service manager, personally took me out on the test drive and walked me through every feature - even put the cover on for me. From start to finish, I have felt very valued.

Good hole in the wall place near lake Murray, not a huge selection but they have a bunch of high end nice tackle and not a lot of fillers like the big name shops, so the stuff you want. I’ll definitely be back!

Purchased a bass boat from Matt at Dynamic and the process couldn’t have been easier! Charlie my salesman walked me through multiple boats and convinced me to go with a different boat (price not factoring in) because he knew I’d prefer the other boat and he was right! Laura in finance made the paper work easy and went out of her way to help me register my boat in another state. They were fair with my trade in and all accessories/side deals with the process were agreed upon and delivered as promise. I have since moved to Alabama but return with my boat for parts and services. My next bass boat will come from Dynamic Marine as well.
