Dry Brooks Boat Launch

A relaxing natural environment

Dry Brooks is an awesome boat launch in Blue Marsh Lake. It’s wide, with more than enough room to launch two boats at once. It’s plenty deep for my 17’ fishing boat, even when the lake level is drawn down for a dam release. There is a TON of parking. And it’s free!

We launched our boat for free here. We were out on the lake, and we didn't catch a thing, lol. It was very peaceful, and the water was like glass. The breeze picked up about 2 hours after we were out on the lake. We enjoyed just being out there. It was the first time of the year. We will be going many more times this year when the fish start biting. There is a big lot for parking boat trailers and an area just for cars. They have bathrooms right there as well. All the rules and regulations are posted on a bulletin board.

Quiet and on a Tuesday not very crowed. Ample parking.

Away from city, secluded in woods, Blue marsh lake is a nice place for a Sunday picnic, lots of families, kids, place is always buzzing.There is a beach area and area is marked and swimming is allowed. You can use boat, kayak . Excellent facilities. Also, there is a visitor center, boat launch, basin area, walking trails around blue marsh lake.
