Family boat had been in the water for 2-3 seasons and had noticeable performance loss. We were prepared to have the engine looked at for reduced performance. The bottom of the boat had lots of build up and we heard the buildup can cause a big drag. After hearing the same from multiple other boaters, we thought we should try it. After the bottom of the boat was cleaned the boat had a noticeable performance improvement on top speed and cornering while pulling kids on the tube etc.
