Dowry Creek Marina

We stayed at Dowry Creek Marina in Belhaven, NC, from July 31 to August 12, 2024. This family-owned marina is one of our favorite stops and offered a safe haven to wait out Hurricane Debby. The staff have been incredible. The on-site restaurant is reasonably good. Water pressure is good, and the power has been reliable. The strong fixed dock has no cleats, only pilings, so bring big fenders. The dock hands are very helpful. The marina provides a loaner car for grocery runs, free laundry, and great fuel prices. When the rain isn't constant, the pool is a nice perk.

One of the best marinas we have ever been to! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We came in with some wind and the staff were ready to help us in, tie off and hook us up to shore power. John and Steve are very nice and welcoming. We were supposed to stay one night but with how comfortable we felt there, we stayed 3 nights instead. The showers are clean and towels were provided. There is a clubhouse that is cozy with a beautiful view and coffee. There is a car available to loan for a ride into town to get provisions. We can’t recommend Dowry Creek Marina enough.

Beautiful marina. We arrived Thanksgiving Day and were greeted by the owners. Fuel and pump outs from your slip. Thanksgiving Dinner was wonderful and meeting with other boats during dinner in the relaxing atmosphere of the Salty Crab on site restaurant. Best of all their is a pirate ship!!

This marina in Belhaven is a little oasis in a secluded area. It’s not in Belhaven “proper”, but they have a loaner car that you can borrow to run into town for supplies. They have a gorgeous pool, captains lounge with books, tv, comfy seating and even guitars for those that play but left it at home! The bathrooms are immaculate. Nicely equipped with AC, towels, soap and shampoo. It’s really a pleasure for boaters to stop somewhere and have the bathrooms be so well cared for! There’s a marina store that has everything from snacks, to motor oil, to cold drinks and beer. They had the basics of boat/ pantry well covered. Staff was very friendly and inviting when we entered the store. The docks were all in great shape and it was easy to get in. The value for the price was great. We have a 46 foot sailboat and we paid $88/night which is very reasonable with water/ power. We dropped our dinghy in and went for a cruise up dowry creek. We were met with winding tunes and pleasant scenery as tall grasses grow on either side. It was a fun little ride - recommend if you’re in the marina and just want to buzz around somewhere but not have to go too far. We will definitely return to this marina!

What an amazing visit we had at this marina! The staff was so very helpful! There is a wonderful pool, heated and saltwater. There is free laundry onsite, which is a huge benefit! We also enjoyed the use of a courtesy car, as the marina is a few miles from town. The town of Belhaven is lovely, with a great hardware store, bakery, a few restaurants and lovely gift shops. Truly a fabulous visit!!
