I began looking for a new outboard motor at the worst possible time. Late 2021 was the middle of the colossal “Supply Chain” pandemic for imported goods. Regardless, I was determined to find a new outboard to repower my boat. Replacing a 1973 Evinrude was my challenge. I called dealers of various manufacturers from south central Pennsylvania to the Baltimore area and to as far east as Toms River, NJ. No one had a single motor in my desired range, they could not offer pricing, and they were not interested in taking an order for something they had no idea may show up in their inventory any time soon. I eventually reached out to Brad Tracey, proprietor of Cumberland Marine Repair, LLC in York, PA. Brad was not only up front about pricing, he was honest about the delays in inventory; but he was willing to order a motor for me. The wait began, but true to his word, I received a call from Brad that my outboard had arrived at his doorsteps. I arrived shortly after the call to inspect the motor and Brad was willing to do the initial service, setup and engine break-in for me. This is customer service! Cumberland Marine Repair, LLC is an inflatable boat repair shop located in York, Pennsylvania. However, Cumberland Marine is also a Tohatsu authorized dealer and repair shop. I highly recommend Cumberland Marine. We have bought and serviced our emergency rescue boats from them for years. The service and experience is always top notch. The turn around time for repairs is so fast. Its hard to believe anyone would every have a bad review for this company. I worked with Cumberland Marine Repair to solve some issue with a fleet of Zodiac that I have. I needed a large number of valves and parts for the boats. They were very patient and help full and gave me a a great deal on the parts that I needed. I will work with them again.

I did not get a great deal of feedback as if they are overly busy. Good for them to have the business to keep busy! Despite my company boat being the very same as in their pictures, we will likely go with the company in Annapolis for this repair and next year's fleet of 10x new rigid hulls. Sad as they came recommended directly from Zodiac Milpro.
